Here's a shocker...
Waning big-vehicle sales upended GM
Lagging sales of trucks and larger cars have caught General Motors Corp. by surprise.
Large cash reserves will likely see the automaker through at least the next few months, but cuts in both jobs and product lines are needed to assure the company's long-term health, analysts said.
Company spokeswoman Renee Rashid-Merem would not comment on potential job or brand cuts but said General Motors has made it clear that action would be taken if the U.S. auto market worsened.
