Apr 1, 2009 - Any Port In A Storm

Amid partisan rancor, intelligent life finds other open lanes.

That would seem to be the case as Bill Gates appears before a Congressional committee today to outline his solution for GM to avoid bankruptcy.

A Microsoft spokesman, speaking on condition of anonimity, said the plan involves an unusual angle of attack... promoting truck and SUV use.

"Since 11 of the 20 GM models that actually turn a profit are trucks or SUVs, does it make sense to eliminate those lines?", the source said. "The basic idea is to promote those models and their increased fuel use overseas by designating each of the models as a PAL FOR OIL, especially in the oil-producing areas of the world, to allow the petro-dollars to flow into GM and the American economy."

I'm not so sure we should be taking advice from the developers of Vista, but you have to wade through the bad ideas to get to the good ones sometimes, and you never know... it might work.

Sitting in my office, I gotta say that Bill's a genius with a real vista for the future, not to mention his sunny outlook as evidenced by the picture - it's that big grin on his face. Word is he excels at everything, so why not have a net meeting and solve the GM problem? The age of empires surely isn't gone for GM. Onenote to make, he could sync GM up with a driving simulator and put a real halo over GM. Shoot, he could have made Wagoner a MVP. When is comes to business, Bill's your basic explorer plus! What do you say to Microsoft, Bob?
