Dear Dub,
The tires that came with my car when I bought it fresh off the truck in 2006 are crap. I popped two of them (front passenger side) checking the same barely-there curb... TWICE. I made the dealership pay for the second one, because that just SHOULD NOT happen. If you curb check, the tire digs into the wheel and BLAM. Is this common?

Well imagine that. You run a tire into a curb and it pops. Who would have ever thought a manufacturer would have let a car out of the factory with a major defect like that?!?

You are joking, aren't you Bumpy? Curb check? You have to be kidding me. And your dealer knuckled under and paid for your lack of parking skill? Does he pay for it when you run out of gas too, because that shouldn't happen either. I'm guessing you must be a good source of income for him with your quarterly wheel alignments though, so I suppose I shouldn't judge him too harshly.

Here's a thought. Maybe you should invest $10 in some curb feelers if you're going to use the braille method of driving. Worked on my Studebaker!
