Dear Dub,
Do you believe in jinxes? I hadn't had a flat tire in almost 20 years. Then I made the mistake of saying that out loud and the next day I ran over a utility knife blade that caused an unrepairable flat on a tire that only had about 5,000 miles on it. What are the odds?

There's an awful lot of little junk out on the roads that you really don't see that can skewer a tire on you Poker. In addition to things you'd expect like nails and screws, I've seen animal bones, pencil stubs, and even a plastic piece of body work off of a PT Loser that sliced a sidewall of a tire!
And as far as the odds, you tell me what the chances of a recent DOUBLE blow out I had were! Take care of your tires and they'll generally take care of you.
