Saab may still survie, but the future is uncertain after a consortium led by Swedish boutique sports-car maker Koenigsegg Group AB agreed to a preliminary deal to buy the troubled company from General Motors Corp.
From the not-sure-if-this-is-surprising department, only 783 Saabs were sold in the U.S. in May, which is fewer than the number of Hummers sold. I suppose that on the fringes of auto sales, anything is possible.
Maybe a return to predominantly Swedish roots is just what Saab needs.
