It looks like General Motors is going to get their bridge loans to try and turn things around. It also looks like there's mounting pressure for Rcik Wagoner to not be at the helm for it.

On Sunday, Sen. Christopher Dodd (D., Conn.), a supporter of emergency loans for Detroit, suggested Mr. Wagoner should go if the government follows through and provides billions of dollars to help the auto giant restructure and return to profitability.

In the world of Washington DC anything is possible. Sen. Dodd was certainly a vocal supporter of the UAW during the hearings and it wouldn't surprise me if this push to oust Wagoner was a bit of a bone to throw in the direction of the UAW.

Even if Wagoner is removed, the UAW is facing drastic cuts as the restructuring of GM is almost certain to involve cutting back, if not completely eliminating brands to create a leaner and meaner car company.

Don't board members do that like voters who vote out politicians. And please Nancy dont figure out what will turn the company around if your not in there running the business.It a little more complicated than building a green car.
