We Voted Them In
A famous comedian once remarked that congress is the opposite of progress. Who knew that that joke would turn out to be a prediction.
Consider the announcement by Representative Sid Finch (I - ND) of the proposed legislation H.R. 0401, a complete ban on the production, sale, and distribution of hybrid vehicles.
Congressman Finch contends that hybrid vehicles are more harmful to the environment in the manufacturing process and because of the eventual disposal of the battery packs. He also contends that hybrids actually encourage more fuel use as hybrid owners don't feel the need to restrict their driving.
Is it any wonder that election years scare me?
