Aug 21, 2009 - Is Cash for Clunkers a junker??Now with cash for clunkers (c4c) is ending on monday the question I have is was it a good idea. My opinion is yes and no. Cash for clunkers did what it was meant to do which is help the automotive industry. I think it's amazing that cars that have been on dealer lots for months were gone in a couple of days. For example a local Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep dealer had tons of of Calibers, Patriots, and Compass's and after less than a week there was one left when i checked the website. It's seems like c4c magicly got people to buy those cars, not that that is a bad thing. My problem with c4c is some of the cars being traded in and killed. When looking on youtube or driveing by the clunkers there are some cars like 1998 to 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee being killed and crushed. Not only do i think that's sad but it's also insane. If we get rid of good cars like that there is less for let's say teenages who want a good cheap cars. It's hard to see those cars go. Now some like old crown vics or pickup trucks ok some are so rusty it's amazing they are still in one piece. So is Cash for Clunkers a junker? No it is not completly. I think the goverment should have limited the cars being recycled to older very ineficent models, not almost new Grand Cherokee's and Tahoe's. I'm happy to see the Chrysler dealers finally sell a heck of a lot of car but i just wish they did'nt have to kill some of them. A.~.B
Aug 19, 2007 - The Crossover that reminds me of a minivan!?!Today uncle came in and he is a Saturn rep. He brought a $41,000 Outlook!! Now if that does not tell you were Saturns going then what is!! You can't there poor quilty teenager cars. It had every thing and yes a nav. It is a really nice car no minivan wait no CROSSOVER. That is so cool its every thing a van should have only called a crossover. Now it may have doors like a car but it is a heck of lot more like a minivan then oh lets say a CX-9. It has a good ride and power it also looks good while doing it. Now compared to a CX-9 it is pretty big but it does pay of inside which is nice and comfortable. So if your looking for a minivan but don't want a mivivan (Buy the way the Chrysler vans are nice but need to drive one) the Saturn Outlook is something to look at. Its the cheapest of the brothers but is not that different from the Acadia. Just when you go to the Saturn dealer don't be shocked by the nice guy there to say Its only $41,000 but it has everything!!!!!
Aug 5, 2007 - Mitsubishi OutlanderThe Mitsubishi outlander is one of many new cute'utes. But for some it does not have some of the LOOKS (to me i like it). Nor it has Rav4 perforance. But I like it because it looks good and is not over or underpowered. I really like the tail gate because they made a good point of the rav4 takes a mile to open it and then blocks the curb. Mini bed is a great idea. I still have to drive it but I hope I like it because I have high hopes for thr Outlander!!!
Jul 26, 2007 - Saturn AuraI've been in the Saturn Aura a few times now and it growing on me. I Think it looks a lot better then a G6 or Camry. The power is good too when I have been in it . Some of the interior could be better but its not any better then the Altima which I love. I like the dark blue with the red interior. It should have a nav but thats why GM is still down. They don't put all the fetures that the japenesse have. They could probley boost sales. Now a nav will not make me buy a car but for some that could be one more Camry and one less Aura. But It all comes down to value which the Aura has. If I want a Altima you have get some package which puts up the price on something i don't need. The Aura also still has the 30 day return thing so if I want a Different one no problem. Saturns future is looking pretty good compared to what it used to be in GM!!
Jul 23, 2007 - The start of my favorite show!When I need something to give me a good laugh is the british tv show Top Gear. It is really funny to me, but it all started when I was looking at stuff on You Tube. The first episode was the SLR challenge. I liked it so much I was so glad there was a lot more to see. I will probley never see all of them. I just wish I didn't have to watch all of them on You Tube!! One of my favorites is when they came to America. But that is mine so I would check them out on You Tube.
