I live in an area that actually has winters, pretty much every year. And there's snow in the forecast coming up in the next couple of days. Now understand that I'm coming off an experience yesterday of dealing with what had to be the world's stupidest appliance installation guy, (Dub may deal with that this weekend)  so my tolerance for stupidity is at zero at the moment, but I'm going to make this wish list anyway...

WASHINGTON — Opening a government meeting on auto safety, the Obama administration reported Wednesday that nearly 6,000 people were killed and a half-million injured last year in vehicle crashes connected to driver distraction, a striking indication of the dangers of using mobile devices behind the wheel. The Transportation Department was bringing together experts over two days for what it's calling a "distracted driving summit" to take a hard look at the highway hazards caused by drivers talking on cell phones or texting from behind the wheel. WASHINGTON — An auto industry trade group says it supports a ban on texting and using hand-held cell phones while driving in advance of next week's major government summit on distracted driving. It seems pretty obvious to me. A phone conversation is not the same as talking with a passenger in your vehicle, or singing along with the radio. A phone conversation commands your attention...
