Chrysler was gracious enough to allow me to drive away from their proving grounds Thursday in a 2008 Dodge Dakota. Hello from Toronto. Yesterday, I was in Michigan for Chrysler's annual Drive All Our New Cars event held at their proving grounds in Chelsea, Mich. Along with more than 80 other car media people, we got to drive just about every 2009 Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep on the proving grounds handling circuit and highway surface track. Look for a video of the latter next week...

Behold, the one frontal angle that actually makes the 2009 Honda Pilot look half-decent. It still looks like an unnatural marriage of a Pathfinder and a Pokemon, though. Looks are subjective, however; especially when the Pilot is considered, given that in its twilight fifth year, the old Pilot (that was certainly no looker itself) sold 117,000 units -- good for ninth place and it used to be higher...
