Lets repeat after me: The Passionate Pursuit of Perfection!
Personally I think V6 engines that develop less than 200hp, regardless of displacement, are just plainly pathetic. Why bother, seriously, since the modern day 4-bangers are capable of achieving the same performance while doing it more efficiently (fuel economy wise). Here's the list of cars that are equipped with sub-200hp V6 engines:
Chrysler Sebring:
Dodge Charger:
Jeep Compass:
Jeep Patriot:
Kia Rondo:
Kia Optima:
As you can see, there are not a whole lot of them...

Recently reported, Acura is working on a “huge shift” next year that will move the brand closer to tier 1 luxury brands such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Lexus. There is also a chance that we'll see Acura's version of M/AMG/RS/F.
Here's what I thought:
Well, before walking Acura needs to prove that:

What the Heck is Wrong with Acura?!

Granted the RL was plain but at least it wasn't ugly, well that's not the case anymore. Folks here's the 2009 Acura RL:
Seriously, I think Acura has gotten a little bit carry away with that shield grille design. Can someone please tell the Acura designers that IT DOESN'T LOOK GOOD...
Lexus LF-A Set a Nürburgring Record???
Dec 18, 2007 11:43 am | Categories: auto industry, auto newsPosted by louiswei
So far this is strictly a rumor which originated from the Japanese magazine Holiday Auto <motormagazine.co.jp/2007/12/20081_4.html#more>. If that is to be believed, the Lexus LF-A has put in a dominant performance on Nürburgring, lapping the track in 7:24. If true, it would make the LF-A the fastest production car to run the ring...

Recent Lexus Recall
Nov 30, 2007 9:34 am | Categories: auto industry, second opinionPosted by louiswei
I don't know about the general public but I have zero problem with recalls, yup '0' as in nada, zip.
To me when the manufacture issues a recall is a good thing because that means they are willing to stand behind their products and I get to fix my car for free.
What I do have problem with is manufactures not willing to stand behind their warranties or simply just not honoring it...
If I get to be the King of Cadillac...

I'll make Cadillac to be the definition of modern American luxury and that is:
- Bold in design (Art & Science)
- Having adequate but not over the top power
- Excellent balance between performance and comfort. Doesn't have to rival BMW in handling but definitly shouldn't be a boulevard cruiser.
- Interior design, material and fit-n'-finish has to be class-leading...
I don't think it's fair to say that "Hyundai is not selling", as matter of fact, just by looking at the increasing number of models over the last couple years one should know that Hyundai is coming along nicely.
However, it's not all "living happily after" for the Hyundai camp IMO. The biggest concern is Sonata, spin it all you want but let's face it, the car did NOT live up to the expectation...
