Dear Dub, What do you think of the new Nissan Cube with that asymmetrical back end? I want a new car, one that does what it should. One that won't make me feel too bad, one that won't make me feel too good...
Eagerly awaited - the new 2009 Nissan Cube arrived at both of our Cincinnati Nissan dealers yesterday and the anticipation was worth the wait. If you appreciate bold design and innovation, then you will agree with our review and rating of the new Cube as an "A". With so many plain designs on the market today, it is refreshing to see Nissan design a new car that allows Cincinnati drivers to drive a 2009 Cube that is uniquely their own...

Bill Elliot wrecked while trying to break his own 22 year old speed record at Talledega when a tire blew at on his second run. His record is 212 mph, but this car has been up to 252 mph at the Bonneville Salt Flats last year. It sounds rather quick!

Ease On Down The Road?

There are rumblings that GM might move its headquarters out of Detroit. When Fritz Henderson was asked about the possibility, his answers were less than confidence-building. “We’re looking at, frankly, everything within our business, but it’s not like we have that queued up at the top of our list,” he said...

The pace car for the Indy 500 this year is the new Camaro. It's a sign of the times that the comments I'm seeing about the car are not exactly flattering. ...It looks like a paint can fell off the back of a Home Depot truck!!..

Now this is the kind of thing you go to auto shows for. On Sunday at MotorFair in Scotland, there was a drag race won by Jet-Pack Man and he set a possible world speed record of 68 mph, measured by a cop with a radar gun. The Guiness folks are considering the application.

SInce it's Speed Month in Indianapolis, I though I'd focus on speed for the rest of the month, and the first shiny thing that caught my eye was this item from the Chicago Tribune. PEORIA, Ill. - Authorities in Peoria are lowering the speed limit in the city's Washington Park, and they say the new ordinance will apply to bicyclists, as well as motorists...

It was pole day at Indy and Helio Castroneves took the top spot with a qualifying speed of 224.864 mph. Only two weeks to go until the 500, one of my favorite sporting events each year. I may turn down the sound on the TV and listen on the radio and keep score again this year...

Ask Dub Schwartz!

Hey Dub, Foster's idea last week (which you appropriately shot down) of being able to take your driver's test drunk got me to thinking. What if you could REALLY have your driving skills tested and you could get a license with like an A, B, or C rating? A higher rated license would allow you to do things like drive 80 on a 65mph interstate with no fear of tickets because you've demonstrated a specific skill level...
