All the Chevrolet vehicle news you want! All about Chevy SUVs, trucks, and sports cars.
GM has been hit hard in recent months, partially due to its lack of attractive, affordable compacts. But that’s not to say they don’t have at least one! The Chevrolet Aveo5 is exactly that type of car that can help a car dealer such as Detroit Chevrolet dealers maintain a foothold in a struggling economy. But with plenty of competition, the Chevy Aveo5 has a tough job in front of it.
The Chevy Aveo5 offers plenty of efficiency. With 27 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway, the fuel economy is one of the Aveo’s strengths. Plus, acceleration is also decent, which many of Hartford Chevrolet dealers' test drivers have discovered. By no means does that Aveo5 offer speedy acceleration and power, but the little car does get up and go without too much struggle. An anomaly though is that the Aveo5 does not come with standard ABS, while much of the competition does. That being said, the brakes still bring the car to a halt without too much struggle and remains easy to control.
Despite being an economy car with a short wheelbase, the Chevrolet Aveo5 offers a compliant ride, even over the most unpleasant roads. Around corners, Durango Chevy tester drivers feel that the Aveo5’s suspension is also competent. Although the handling doesn’t provide a sporty feel, it offers plenty of responsiveness that should put it on part with the likes of the Honda Fit and Toyota Yaris.
Outside, drivers will find a recently redesigned exterior that offers and clean, curvy, and modern look that should appeal to plenty of Spokane Chevy drivers. Aside from the traditional bow-tie front-end, the Chevy does offer unique styling.
With tight dimensions, those who want a compact vehicle that’s easy to maneuver around tight parking structures will be happy with the Aveo. But despite its stout exterior dimensions, Lamesa TX Chevrolet shoppers have found that the inside of the Aveo5 provides a good amount of space, with a strong seating position. However, interior plastics are a bit subpar, with hard surfaces and a mediocre faux aluminum accents. The average driver and passenger may find the interior to be plenty roomy for a compact car, but larger drivers may feel a bit cramped.
The latest Chevy Aveo5 provides not only the size, styling, and efficiency to make it a competitive model in its segment, but also provides the right price. While there’s not too much that makes it stand out from its competition, it does manage to do everything well. While not the most refined, it should provide an excellent vehicle for those looking to save money and still have enough room for passengers and cargo.

The Chevrolet Volt is perhaps the most important vehicle coming down the pipeline at GM, so it’s fitting that the Chevy Volt is officially unveiled for GM’s centennial celebration. With up to a 40 mile range on just electricity, the production Chevrolet has immense potential as it can provide plenty zero emissions driving for eco-conscious drivers.
This morning, officials at General Motors had announced that the automaker had unveiled the Chevrolet Volt as it’s a great way to introduce the brand’s second century, which is great news to Chevrolet San Diego and other dealers. The GM’s Chairman and CEO, Rick Wagoner, said, “The Volt is symbolic of GM's strong commitment to the future.”
The design of the Chevrolet Volt has changed since its initial introduction as a concept at the 2007 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Hours of wind tunnel testing has contributed to the vehicle’s overall design, where aerodynamics played a large role in order to reduce drag and improve overall efficiency. One aspect of aerodynamic efficiency is the extremely raked windshield. But the design also embodies an athletic stance, and also adorns the new Chevrolet front fascia design.
The resulting design for the Chevrolet Volt has perhaps become the most aerodynamic vehicle in the automaker’s history to help aid the vehicle’s 40 mile range without using gasoline which has appealed to customers at Boonville Chevrolet who increasingly demand efficiency. But the Volt also offers comfort and innovative design on the inside as well, with all the comforts and space a customer would expect from a four-passenger sedan.
Among the range of features included with production Chevrolet Volt include a driver-configurable, liquid crystal instrument display, a touch screen that displays a variety of vehicle information, an infotainment display, and a navigation system providing music storage as well. With popular information systems such as Ford's Sync, Birmingham Chevrolet dealers believes this will help draw customers to dealers. There’s even Bluetooth connectivity for portable devices.
The Chevrolet Volt’s electric system is what powers the wheels at all times and all speeds. The a range of 40 miles on electricity alone, a gasoline and E85 powered engine is also on board which helps generate power for the electric drive unit which keeps the battery charged. This process extends the Volt’s range for hundreds of miles. Although Spokane Chevy customers are excited about the range, some are skeptical about the cost of plugging in the electric vehicle to their home.
For charging, the Chevy Volt can be plugged into a standard 120 volt wall outlet or use 240v, which Bob Watson Chevrolet customers think will be highly convenient. Plugged into a 120v outlet, the battery can be charged in as little as eight hours. GM estimates that the vehicle will cost drivers about 80 cents per day in electricity, and will consume less energy than a household refrigerator.
With a quiet interior and surprising performance, the Chevrolet Volt should provide ample power for drivers. The vehicle’s electric motor produces the equivalent of 150 horsepower and has a top speed of up to 100 miles per hour which shouldn't disappoint too many drivers at New Mexico Chevy dealers as drivers are buying Prius models and other hybrids that don't offer significantly more power.
Production for the Chevrolet Volt is estimated to begin in late 2010. Pricing has not yet been announced, but it was been estimated to have a price tag of about $40,000.

While the mid-size crossover market remains intensely crowded, it just keeps on growing. The latest addition to the segment is the Chevrolet Traverse. Although it may be the newest model within the burgeoning segment, GM is confident that the Chevy Traverse will be one of the most competitive vehicle’s in its category, even against the segment leaders - the Honda Pilot and the Toyota Highlander.
Among the advantages that the Chevrolet Traverse has going for it is the larger dealer network at its disposal. Chevrolet has plenty of coverage across the nation, even while the automaker is trying to reduce the number of showrooms. Meanwhile, larger dealerships such as Spokane Chevy are eager to receive fresh crossover inventory. Even so, the goal GM has already set is huge. With the Pilot selling upwards of 117,000 units per year, and the Highlander selling upwards of 127,000 units per year, Chevrolet and its dealers such as Jim Burke Chevy plan to out sell both vehicles thanks to its targeting of the value-conscious buyer.
There are many analyst that don’t share GM’s optimism about the upcoming Chevrolet Traverse. As yet another lambda chassis-based vehicle, which is already widely used throughout the GM lineup such as in Boonville MO Chevy's popular GMC Acadia crossover, the Traverse may have to compete too heavily with other vehicles within the GM lineup. But many analysts and dealers, including Chevrolet Dealers Valparaiso, contend that the Traverse is priced right, giving dealers the ability to sell Envoys and Acadias alongside the Traverse without hindering sales.
Time will tell if the Chevy Traverse will be able to outsell the likes of the popular Pilot and Highlander. As it has just arrived to San Diego Chevrolet and other showrooms recently, it’s a bit too early to tell if the Traverse will enable Chevy to become a sales powerhouse yet again.

General Motors has announced sweeping changes in hopes of cutting costs and stimulating sales. Already we’ve seen General Motors undergo “reorganizations” but this one continues the trend to cut cuts, and salaries, across the board.
As the weakened economy continues to make things harder for automakers, General Motors has announced that it will reduce its salary-staff, eliminate health coverage of retirees over the age of 65, and reduce the number of pay raises.
In addition, GM has announced further plans to cut the number of trucks and SUVs. The automaker has already made significant production cuts to their line of once-popular trucks and SUVs such as the Chevrolet Silverado and the GMC Yukon. Production is expected to be reduced by 300,000 units by the end of the year, a significant margin.
Aside from significant cuts to production and the number of employees, GM has also announced that it plans to tighten up marketing and engineering budgets as well. As a result, the next generation of large trucks and SUVs are expected to be delayed to the dismay of Chevrolet San Diego dealers. Selling assets is also now under consideration, and may result in the sale of plants, real estate, etc.
General Motors has a long road ahead of them. The Hummer brand is likely to be sold soon, other brands may be sold or simply dissolved, and sales continue to slide. Meanwhile, GM is hard at work on the upcoming plug-in electric Chevrolet Volt, but it’s unfortunately still a ways away. Another important vehicle says Rio Rancho Chevrolet dealers, is a new Chevrolet compact that is also currently in the works. Time will tell if these vehicles will come in time to drive new customers into dealerships. Ford has also made cuts and delays in regards to their F-Series pickup, which has maintained slower sales in recent months at Richmond Used Cars and other Ford dealers within large news and used pickup inventories.

The 2000 Chevrolet Malibu may be a vehicle that can help turnaround the struggling automaker. Like all domestic automakers, Chevrolet’s midsize offering is lackluster to say the least, and the new Chevy Malibu is the company’s hope in taking market share away from the Japanese competition.
To start, the new Chevrolet Malibu has be stretch in almost every dimension measurement mimics those of the class dominating Toyota Camry. The benefit of this is that interior space and truck size will keep owners happier, and with a larger engine the new Malibu can move the family faster too as pointed out by Chevy dealers Chicago which has already seen strong Malibu sales. In addition, GM is highlighting the new design in advertising. That too has been drastically improved, and its styling is not as forgettable as the previous model’s.
The top of the line Chevy Malibu model comes with a 3.6 liter V6 engine that’s mated to a six speed transmission. The engine puts out 252 horsepower, which is quite powerful even by San Diego Corvette dealer standards while the base four cylinder engine produces 169 horsepower and is mated to a four speed transmission. The new Malibu also has a hybrid variant available costing a mere $1800 the four cylinder mode. With 24 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway, the Malibu hybrid could be an attractive addition to the Malibu lineup.
Inside, GM has extensively improved and upgraded the interior. Drivers will find a more upscale design and layout, with quality materials to match. Rear seat occupants will find additional leg room and may even find the optional a 110 volt AC plug which makes plugging in laptops and other devices simple. The interior is also quieter while underway, thanks to thicker windows, sound deadening materials, and an insulated truck. These materials may have contributed to the new models 240 pound weight gain over the previous model, but it was well worth it.
General Motors has vastly improved the new Chevrolet Malibu. It’s larger and more powerful, but it also adds an upscale style and more distinctive character that has gotten Chevrolet Port Charlotte customer a little more excited about driving one. In fact, Used Cars Albuquerque have already seen the new Malibu as being a popular vehicle in the Chevy lineup. In addition, the Malibu’s added appeal may help continue its role in fleet sales and as a rental fleet favorite.
