Jan 16, 2009 - Across the Pond: 2010 Peugeot 3008

Add this to the file of interesting things we won't be getting. The 2010 Peugeot 3008 is a small crossover vehicle along the lines of the Nissan Qashqai (think a more car-like Rogue) or maybe the Pontiac Vibe. Although I'm not a big fan of the enormous grille, I think its otherwise a pretty sharp vehicle. The interior looks awesome, especially those nifty toggle switches. This seems like a pleasant improvement over other Pug cabins.

Forgetting the fact Peugeots aren't sold here (and won't be since Americans hate the French more than most), I wonder if vehicles like this that further blur the line between 5-door hatches and compact SUVs will become popular. I think it's kinda cool.

I would love the opportunity to drive a Peugeot, Citroen or Renault here in the US. These cars have a style all their own really. Too bad most Americans : Remember the last French cars that were on these shores, hate the French and apparently hate anything that's a hatchback.

This is a nice looking vehicle. The interior is very impressive. Would be nice to see these on the roads. I learned to drive on a Peugeot 504, it was a head turner in Detroit.
