Sep 2, 2009 - Cincinnati OnStar Vehicle Diagnostics

Jeff Wyler is your Cincinnati OnStar Vehicle Diagnostics dealer!  Fifty years ago car aficionados dreamed about having a system like OnStar that would monitor and alert them when their vehicle needed repair, inspection, or had an important recall.  Those dreams are now a reality for our Cincinnati Chevrolet customers and all GM brand customers in greater Cincy, northern KY, Florence Kentucky, greater Dayton, and Springfield OH.

When you buy a new GM vehicle, you can enroll in the OnStar Vehicle Diagnostics (OVD) program for free.  Just press the blue OnStar button in your vehicle, and when you speak to the representative, ask that your preferred OVD GM service provider is one of our our participating Jeff Wyler GM dealerships:

Jeff Wyler Eastgate Chevrolet serving Cincinnati and NKY
Jeff Wyler Fairfield Cadillac serving Cincinnati and NKY
Jeff Wyler Buick Pontiac GMC serving Florence and northern Kentucky
Jeff Wyler Springfield Chevrolet serving Dayton and Springfield Ohio

As your preferred dealer, we will then get an alert from OnStar if there is an important recall on your vehicle, when your tires need rotated, when your oil life is less than 20%, and when your odometer readings indicate you need scheduled maintenance.  We will then contact you to set up an appointment at your convenience so that we can service and repair your Chevrolet, Buick, Pontiac, GMC, or other GM vehicle and have you driving smoothly again around Cincinnati, Dayton, Ohio and northern Kentucky!

Aug 27, 2009 - Cincinnati Brake Repair

Jeff Wyler is your Cincinnati Brake Repair expert!  Visit any one of our Cincinnati dealerships and you will find that we have a fully staffed service department with certified trained service technicians that can inspect, fix and repair your brakes.

If you are having - or suspect that you are having - brake problems, STOP now!  Ensuring that you vehicle can stop or slow down when needed is a safety issue that cannot be ignored, and Jeff Wyler can fix your problem and get you back on the road quickly.

Common indicators of brake problems include brake noises such as whistling, squeaking, and chirping.  This can actually be a good thing, as many modern vehicles are equipped with a small metal plate attached to the brake pads that is designed to make noise to let you know when your brakes need inspected and/or repaired.  If it feels like your brakes are grinding, or it is taking more work to get your car to slow down and stop, it is time to visit one of our Cincinnati brake repair centers.

Call us at 513-752-3447 (for Cincinnati Brake Repair) or visit one of our websites to schedule an appointment online.  When you come in, our auto repair center will complete a full brake inspection and identify and diagnose what is needed for your brake fix.  We will then use genuine OEM parts and accessories to repair your brakes and get you back on the roads of Cincinnati and northern KY!

Aug 26, 2009 - Cincinnati Transmission Repair

The Jeff Wyler Automotive Family is your Cincinnati transmission repair expert!  When it comes to transmission problems, you do not want to delay in having it looked at immediately, as small problems can turn into expensive repairs quickly if not fixed.  Here are some common indicators of transmission problems to look out for:

Unsmooth shifting:  Is your transmission slipping?  Does it make a "racing" sound between gear changes?  Does it shift hard?  These are all signs that you need to have your transmission inspected by a trained professional.

Red fluid:  Do you see a puddle of red fluid under your car, or dripping fluid?  This might be your transmission fluid.  Having insufficient transmission fluid can lead to overheating, and not enough pressure within your transmission case to allow it to operate properly.

Funny noises:  Do you hear a buzzing, or grinding noise coming from the transmission case?  This is often an indicator that there are parts inside hitting each other improperly, requiring an internal inspection.

Most modern vehicles have electronic transmissions that transmit codes when there are problems.  Each of our Cincinnati transmission repair centers has the modern diagnostic equipment that will allow us to connect to your vehicle's computer and read any maintenance codes that need attention.

Select one of our locations by clicking on the links below and call us to schedule a service appointment.  Our certified service technicians will complete an external inspection, read any electronic codes, and complete an internal inspection (if necessary) of your tranny.  We will then use genuine OEM parts and accessories to fix your transmission and ensure you are "shifting smoothly" again while driving in Cincinnati, Ohio!

Jul 2, 2009 - Car Allowance Rebate System - Cash for Clunkers

As one of the earliest participating Car Allowance Rebate System dealers (better known as the Cash for Clunkers Program), the Jeff Wyler Automotive Family is very excited about the potential savings our valued new car shoppers can take advantage of.

Do you know that the CARS voucher is not considered income for Federal Tax purposes? Or that it is independent of other programs?  Consider this, you can take a qualifying new car and potentially subtract from the MSRP price:

- The Cash for Clunkers voucher
- Any current manufacturer rebates or incentives
- Government credits, such as the hybrid tax credit
- Use your sales tax deduction for next year's taxes!

Wow - the Car Allowance Rebate System is a fantastic opportunity for our Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana customers to save a lot of money, and buy a new, more fuel efficient Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mazda, Kia, Chevrolet (Chevy), Buick, Pontiac, Hyundai, GMC, Chrysler, Jeep, or Dodge.  We have created a dedicated page on each of our dealership sites with full details, including the new cars we carry that should qualify for the program.  Our participating Cash for Clunkers dealers are located in Cincinnati, Clarksville (greater Louisville), Springfield (greater Dayton), and Frankfort (greater Lexington).

Jun 25, 2009 - Obama Signs CARS Bill

After months of legislative efforts, the Cash for Clunkers bill, later renamed the CARS bill (Car Allowance Rebate System), was signed by President Obama on June 24th, and is now official.  At this point the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has 30 days to register participating dealers and put the program fully into place.

Best estimates are that the Car Allowance Rebate System program will be in operation by late July.  Jeff Wyler is a participating Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana CARS dealer.  We have been aggressively following the bill (from Cash to Clunkers to its current name...) and have created information pages for each of our new car brands where you can learn about the program, see what new vehicles we have that qualify, as well as contact information to communicate with one of our trained specialists who can assist you in learning if you qualify for the CARS program.  Visit http://wyler.com and then select the individual brand of the vehicle you want to purchase, and you will find a Cash for Clunkers - Car Allowance Rebate System page with the full details.

Jun 24, 2009 - Car Allowance Rebate System - CARS

Which is it?  The Cash for Clunkers bill appears to be taking on a new name, as the official government site for the program now shows the current name of the program as the Car Allowance Rebate System (CARS).  Even better - the bill can now be downloaded online, and within the bill, the program is titled the Consumer Assistance to Recycle and Save Program (CARS).  Wow - are you confused yet?

Whether the program continues on as the "Cash for Clunkers" bill or the "Car Allowance Rebate System", when President Obama signs it, there will likely be some additional changes.  As a participating Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana Cash for Clunkers dealer, the Jeff Wyler Automotive Family is following the current status of this program closely.  We have put together facts about the program, and how to determine whether you qualify for the Cash for Clunkers voucher with a special page on each of our website pages.  Take some time to visit to see the latest updates, and learn how this bill can help you save significant money!

Feb 27, 2009 - Economic Stimulus Bill and New Car Tax Deduction

While it sounds like a cliche, there really may not be a better time to buy a new vehicle. Used car values are at historical highs, while our used car inventories are incredibly low (we are looking for trade-ins!), meaning trade-ins are bringing in more money. If you go to any of our dealership websites (select the location you are interested in), click on the Blackbook link to get your Blackbook value online. Our new car inventory levels are at an all-time high, and we are making deals that have never before been seen. Read this article from the Cincinnati Enquirer and see for yourself - there has never been a better time to buy a new vehicle!

There is also a sales tax deduction for new car purchases this year that is part of the new Economic Stimulus bill. For taxpayers with adjusted gross incomes under $125,000 ($250,000 for joint returns), there is a new deduction for state, local, and excise taxes on the purchase of a new car, light truck or other vehicle up to $49,500 of the purchase price. The deduction, which can be claimed on next year's tax return, is available to tax payers who don't itemize.

Our manufacturers are also running incentives and rebates that are incredibly aggressive. High trade-in values, aggressive rebates and incentives, and historically low prices on new inventory - it all points to no better time to buy your new vehicle. Come visit us at http://wyler.com and get the absolute best deals combined with the best Internet experience now!
