Toyota Dealer News
The source for Toyota information, Toyota dealer news, and new Toyota vehicle reviews.
The auto industry has been buzzing with ongoing news and updates regarding the Detroit Bailout, but American automakers aren’t the only ones in need of government cash. Toyota is now seeking loans from the Japanese government to help it weather the global financial crisis and make cash available despite tightening credit.
Toyota is expecting an operating loss of about $4.6 billion this fiscal year, due largely to falling global new car demand. But the automaker’s financial arm, Toyota Financial Services, is also struggling to make cash available for those consumers that actually to want to purchase a new car. As a result, Toyota is seeking a loan for about $2.1 billion. With sales dropping in nearly every auto market, Business Equipment Leasing believes the result was inevitable. Despite the bold move, Monroe Toyota dealers remain optimistic thanks to Toyota's strong and diverse product lineup.
With financing becoming harder and harder to find for car buyers, particularly in the North American auto market, Boston Used Car says that even cash laden giants like Toyota are looking for ways to strengthen its credit arm. Meanwhile, Westminster Toyota dealer recognizes that debt for nearly all automakers is rising, and automakers are looking for support wherever they can get it.
What further complicated the financial services firms is the need to supply financing for 0% or low-interest loans, as it is currently the best method for encouraging potential new car buyers to visit Tustin Toyota dealers and other dealerships. Meanwhile dealers are also trying to stay afloat as well, and in many cases are refocusing on other profit centers to maintain momentum.

Fuel mileage is a top concern among many drivers in the US. As a result, diesel and hybrid vehicles are both getting plenty of attention from consumers as a way to maximize fuel economy. But many consumers often wonder which one is better. Luckily, we've seen some car reviews address that concern with a diesel powered VW Jetta and a Toyota Prius hybrid.
The Toyota Prius was able to perform slightly stronger when the electric motors were used. However, the VW Jetta was able to provide better economy on the freeways, and also provided slightly better driving dynamics. A Westminster Toyota dealer points out that another factor to consider is price. Both vehicles do feature dealer markups as they’re both in high demand, but the diesel-powered Jetta is somewhat rare and can easily become more expensive than the Prius says Albuquerque Toyota dealers.
If you plan on driving longer distances, a diesel vehicle may be a better choice. Meanwhile, around town driving may be better suited for the Prius according to genuine Toyota parts stores. For those who want a sportier drive, the Jetta was the hands down winner for its superb on road dynamics. Unfortunately for VW, the benefits of the Jetta won’t stop consumers from heading to Toyota dealerships like Durango Toyota as the Prius offers efficiency, a lower price tag, and even offers greater flexibility with a gasoline powered engine.

If you have a Toyota Tundra pickup for work duties, you may want to consider Toyota’s all-new Work Truck Package. The 2010 Toyota Tundra Work Truck Package is set to debut at the 2009 San Diego Auto Show, and will attempt to make the Tundra more competitive among commercial truck buyers.
The all-new Toyota Tundra Work Truck Package is not merely a collection of Toyota accessories that make it moderately more usable. Instead the Work Truck Package is a slightly less expensive version of the popular truck and features a new black grille design, and also lacks the chrome normally found on the Tundra around the bumpers and rear view mirror.
Inside, the new Tundra model will have a durable vinyl bench seat, rubber floors, and the basic instrumentation on the dash. What will not be present are the map and door lamps, along with the glove box light and light around the ignition. While it may be slightly more sparse than the standard Tundra, commercial buyers at Los Angeles Toyota dealer will likely be drawn to the truck's utilitarian simplicity.
This commercially oriented Toyota Tundra will be available on either 2WD or 4WD models with either Regular or Access Cab configurations, or with either six or eight cylinder engines. A Lexington Toyota dealer says to expect the price tag to range from $550 to $655 less than the standard Tundra’s price.

Since gas prices have taken a bit of a tumble, it may be a good time to release a new crossover vehicle. At least that's what Toyota is hoping with its all-new Toyota Venza crossover. That being said, the Venza's styling is technically more of a big station wagon than a crossover, but it certainly has the utility and roominess of a bona fide CUV.
Perhaps the best way to conceptualize the Toyota Venza is by thinking of it as half Toyota Highlander, and half Toyota Camry. The Venza rides on the same platform, offers ample interior space and the same ground clearance of the Highlander, but shares no interior pieces or body panels with either the Camry or Highlander. Although it may not know whether it’s a wagon or a crossover, the Venza is certainly good looking.
Inside the Toyota Venza, drivers will find an equally attractive interior with high quality materials and plenty of space. There are also several options packages that will help make the Venza surprisingly luxurious. The interior also provides excellent ergonomics, such as the location of the gear shifter on the upper portion of the center stack. Sit-in height is also optimal, with hassle free ingress and egress. Potential Venza buyers will also find a slew of Toyota car accessories available to further personalize their new crossover both inside and out.
The Toyota Venza even provides plenty of attractive features and options, such as a powerful 13-speaker JBL sound system, Bluetooth connectivity, and even a place to store you’re your portable music devices within the center console.
Rear seat room should easily accommodate adult passengers with ease, thanks to large seats and loads of legroom. There is even an optional rear sunroof to help brighten up rear seat quarters. Overall, the rear seats should provide enough room to keep everyone happy.
Powering the new Toyota Venza is base 2.7-liter four cylinder engine, which will soon be available in the Highlander. With 182 and 182 lb ft of torque, the engine is powerful for a four cylinder, but many Venza buyers will likely opt for the larger, more powerful 3.5-liter V6 engine which produces 268 horsepower and 246 lb ft of torque. The engine is capable of propelling an all-wheel drive Venza to 60 in only 6.5 seconds. Although there’s plenty of power with the V6, you will only be able to tow about 3500 pounds with this vehicle. Thanks to sporty 20-inch wheels, the Venza also handles well for a larger crossover and is certainly on par with the competition.
Although there won’t be too many drivers that will say the Toyota Venza is a blast to drive, the performance characteristics will certainly meet the needs of most drivers considering the crossover.
Consumers will have to expect prices higher than those of the Camry when checking out the vehicle in showrooms. The base Venza is priced just below $27,000, with base front-wheel drive V6 Venza starting at around $28,000. The Venza offers good looks and excellent driving dynamics, but we expect many consumers checking out the Venza to end up with either a Camry or Highlander.
