The things to look for when choosing the correct grade;
Suggestion in the Owners Manual
Octane Rating
Improved Engine Performance
Decrease knocking noises if any
If your owners manual calls for a lower grade octane fuel it is not neccessary to fill the gas tank with a higher octane fuel. Some vehicles, with high compression engines will require higher octane fuel but the standard vehicle will perform well wtih the standard octane fuel.
If you notice knocking or a decrease in engine performance you can choose a higher octane fuel however this will optimize performance only to certain point.
