Five Auto Related Horror Movies

Spooky Car Movies: Alright, it's the season to be spooked so I thought it would be fun to find some horror flicks around our favorite subject: cars! Get some popcorn and turn out the lights. Boo!

 

Christine (1983) – Based on the novel by Stephen King and directed by John Carpenter, Christine is the story about a 1958 Plymouth Fury with a mind of its own. Christine ends up falling for her owner and exacts revenge on those who get in the way of er… requiting that love.

 

The Car (1977) – James Brolin stars in this movie about a possessed car that goes around terrorizing people. Check out the movie’s tagline: There's nowhere to run, nowhere to hide, no way to stop... THE CAR. Killer, huh?

 

Penny Dreadful (2006) – Penny has a phobia of cars and goes on a retreat with her psychologist (Mimi Rogers) who has plans to help her overcome her fear. Things don’t exactly go as planned once they hit the road.

Speed Demon (2003) –  A driver in a muscle car with a demonic hood ornament chases around supernatural hot rodders. Vroom, vroom! Or is that "Doom, doom!"?

 

Black Cadillac (2004) – Randy Quaid plays a sheriff in this movie about a black Cadillac that spends time tormenting a few college kids who were just out trying to have a night of fun.
