How to Use a Coin Operated Car Wash to Clean Your Car or TruckThe following guide will show you how to use a coin operated car wash to wash your vehicle.

|
This is a "coin operated" car wash, so you're obviously going to need coins. If you don't have enough change at home, at least bring lots of dollar bills for the change machine.
Step 2: Bring some soft towels.
You also will want to bring soft terry cloth, or non-abrasive towels with you as well.
Step 3: Pull your vehicle into the car wash.
Now drive to the car wash, pull your vehicle into a bay, and feed the machine with quarters or tokens. It is better to put too many coins in than too few. It's annoying to run out of water in the middle of a wash.
Step 4: Soap up your vehicle.
Once the water starts, soap up your vehicle with a high pressure soap spray. Start at the roof and work your way down. Finish by spraying off each wheel and inside the wheel wells.
Step 5: Wash your vehicle with the foaming brush.
Never use a foaming brush before you rinse all of the grit and dirt off of your vehicle or you run the risk of scratching it. After you have rinsed your car or truck off, use the foaming brush to clean the remaining dirt off.
Step 6: Rinse off the soap.
Next turn the car wash's knob to the high pressure rinse setting and thoroughly spray your entire vehicle. Like before, start with the roof and work your way down to the wheels.
Step 7: Skip the spray wax.
Step 8: Dry your vehicle off.
After you have rinsed all of the soap off of your car or truck, pull it out of the car wash and start to dry it with the towels that you brought along. Start the drying process at the top of your vehicle and work your way down, like in the other steps. Dry the wheels last, regardless of how powerful a sprayer you use there probably will still be some brake dust and dirt stuck to them. Whatever you do, if you drop the towel don't continue to use it. It will pick up all sorts of grit and dirt from the ground that will scratch your car or truck.
