If you own a Honda, Toyota, Chrysler product and perhaps others. How are you going to charge your TomTom (or cell phone for that matter) with the key off? The battey in my TomTom One will only last two hours. I want to leave the TT1 (or cell phone) to charge while I am parked at the office and plan to leave for lunch. I have service folks at the above mentioned dealers tell me "it will run your battery down in the vehicle if you do that". Yeah right! Out of necessity I am leaving a GMC Envoy for a Honda Odyssey. The Envoy has 6, yes 6 outlets that provide power with the key _off_ until the electrical system reaches a point necessary to disconnect the outlet power to provide a reliable start. It is engineered that way. The ones mentioned aren't and I find that very annoying. The above mentioned minivans I consider family vehicles. With children in the back seats using their 12V toys plugged into the vechicle outlets and I have to stop for gas. As soon as I turn the key off the kids start screaming because their toys stopped working. Does anyone have a solution that won't cause warranty issues?
