If most people charge their cars at night, it won't put too much pressure on the power grid! Of course, solar cells could eventually be used for charging, not putting pressure on the grid at all. Having little or no CO2 emissions is a great advantage. But if power companies and other heavy-pollution industries don't find or develop alternative energy sources, there'll be little overall impact.

is this going to cause a problem in califonia. they already have power supply problems. now add a couple of million cars to the states power demand will arnold let someone builed a means to produce this power
