READY FOR SPRING?

spring again?
March 26, 2008 | Categories:
Well its been a long cold winter here in Ohio, and as I watched our local county garage washing and disassembling the salt trucks for the last time "hopefully" this cold season,I began wondering about my preparations for the spring tune-ups on my personal vehicles.I decided to go ahead and start buying my ignition parts now  since the local parts stores are in fierce competition, and one is less than a short city block from the other.Plus I can take advantage of the "price match guarantee" and the bigger companies  that stock our stores,ie> Fram,Pennzoil, and the others are offering killer rebates right now. Some places are offering  Peak anti-freeze have  a 10.00$ rebate on 2 gallons of reg. anti-freeze,I use that just flushing my Nissan truck every spring. It amazes me how much you can get back[cash wise] for filling out rebate tickets...Last year after I got all my rebates back, I made a total of  $314.45,of course you got to take into consideration I tune-up and maintenance 3  of my own vehicles, so I subtract that from the 725.00 I initially spent and I got a pretty good discount..Well I guess the whole point of this blog is just to remind everyone that maintenance is the key to a good  vehicle staying a good vehicle, and to let everyone know that rebates from the manufacturer are not a scam, you really get cash back, you have to wait on the mail ,some offer on line rebates but in the end it's really true,A PENNY SAVED IS A PENNY EARNED+YOU GOT TO SPEND MONEY TO MAKE MONEY.I wish you all this spring maintenance season the best of luck, and remember we are here to help you no matter what the issue......Thanks everyone, especially the staff and our readers.
